What is the Art Masterpiece program?

The Art Masterpiece program is a PTN sponsored program that allows parents to work in the classrooms with the students and teachers; and gives our students a chance to learn about the wonderful world of art. Students learn about artists, view their work, learn about different aspects of art and are encouraged to express themselves through their own work. The Art Masterpiece program at EDUPRIZE works with classroom cottage themes and gives the students a chance to learn more about what they are already discussing in the classroom.

Parent Volunteers are encouraged to teach in the classrooms at least once a month, it is important to work closely with your teacher and to do what works for them in their classroom. All of the lessons are already prepared and the supplies are provided. You may look at the lesson plans and choose from which grade level you would like to teach.  It is an easy and fun way to help out in your child’s classroom.  You don’t need to be a professional teacher or even good at art, the children are always happy to learn about and experiment with different art mediums and they are always happy to see parents working with them in the classroom.

If you are interested in helping with the Art Masterpiece Program this year please speak with your child’s teacher and contact QCPTN-Artmasterpiece@eduprizeschools.net

Thank you! We love our volunteers!

Greetings!  I am very excited to be a part of the Art Masterpiece program here at EDUPRIZE Schools-Q.C. I have been an active artist for over 20 years.  I hold a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Graphic Design from Colorado State University. I love to paint, draw and stay active with aesthetics. Currently, I am the director of art for Boxer Apparel and contributing photographer for Best Version Media. I have a huge passion for art and design and I love to share this with my children and EDUPRIZE community.  My goal is to bring art to the students where art is needed.  I want to build basic foundations of the visual arts and bring excitement and knowledge to the classrooms.  I believe that a well-rounded student is an art student and that the world of art not only creates innovative thinking but awakens parts of the mind that other forms of learning can not.
